Ingredients
- Salmon Seasoning:
- 1 tbsp paprika
- 1.5 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 tsp kosher salt
- 1 tbsp dried thyme
- 1 tsp mustard powder
- 1 tsp black pepper
- Salmon:
- 1.5 lbs salmon filet (cut into 4 steaks)
- 1 tbsp salmon seasoning (from above)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Make seasoning: Mix all seasoning ingredients. Set aside (extra can be stored).
- Prep salmon: Pat salmon dry with paper towels. Sprinkle with 1 tbsp seasoning.
- Air fry: Preheat air fryer to 400°F. Place salmon skin-side down in basket (don’t overcrowd). Drizzle with olive oil.
- Cook: Air fry for 7–8 minutes at 400°F until internal temp reaches 140–145°F and salmon flakes easily.
- Rest: Let sit 5 minutes before serving.
Tips
- For frozen salmon: Air fry frozen fillets at 400°F for 7–9 minutes to defrost first, then proceed.
- Crispy skin: Drizzling olive oil ensures a crispy exterior.
- Storage: Keep leftovers in fridge for 3–4 days. Reheat in microwave or on stovetop.
